Description

Succulent blue crab meat, fresh herbs and breadcrumbs are combined to create these mouthwatering Lump Crab Cakes. Handmade in Austin, TX by Quality Seafood Market. Enjoy on their own as a snack or appetizer or add pasta for a delicious dinner for 2.Fun fact! The blue crab’s scientific name is Callinectes sapidus, which translates to “savory beautiful swimmer.” Compared to a Dungeness crab, the blue variety has more sweetness and less brine flavor. Blue crabs enjoy the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Mid Atlantic, along the coast from Mexico to Maine.Heating instructions:Heat in skillet over medium heat, add a teaspoon of your favorite cooking oil to skillet and add crab cake. Sear on each side for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.Ingredients: crab meat, mayonnaise (soybean oil, vinegar, eggs, water, salt, egg yolks, sugar, calcium disodium edta, dried garlic, dried onions, natural flavors), eggs, panko (wheat flour, cane sugar, yeast, salt), lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce (distilled white vinegar, anchovies, garlic, molasses, onions, salt, sugar, water, chili pepper extract, cloves, natural flavorings, tamarind extract), soy sauce (water, wheat, soybeans, salt, <0.1% of sodium benzoate (preservative)), scallions, Dijon mustard (water, vinegar, mustard seed, salt, white wine, fruit pectin, citric acid, tartaric acid, sugar, spice), parsley, celery, old bay seasoning (celery salt (salt, celery seed), spices (including red pepper and black pepper) and paprika), tabasco (distilled vinegar, red pepper, salt)An Austin seafood staple since 1938, Quality Seafood Market’s came from humble beginnings as a mere stall in Starr’s Fruit and Vegetable Market on Congress Ave just across the street from the state Capitol. Now owned by Paul and Carol Huntsberger, the North Austin restaurant is a place where families gather to enjoy fresh, healthy seafood from waters as nearby as Texas and as far away as Alaska.
