G & S Groves, located in McAllen, Texas, was founded by George and Elizabeth Strohmeyer. The farm began with a dream of planting a citrus grove. The grove was lost due to freeze and drought in the 1930s. In 1994, David, son of George and Elizabeth, decided to make his parents' dream a reality by replanting the grove. By 2006, David and his wife Beverly took over the complete operations of G & S Groves. G & S Grove grows certified organic Texas citrus; such as Rio Red Grapefruit, navel oranges, lemons, and limes. |
